We're a “Work in Progress”

The Building Committee is primarily responsible for planning and executing facility improvements for St. Gregory’s. With direction from Parish Council, the committee formulates various construction plans and improvements to support the needs of the parish. Once a particular plan is supported by Parish Council, the Building Committee executes the plan. The execution ranges from working with consultants for construction plans and documents to organizing work groups to perform the necessary work.

The Building Committee has a long history at St. Gregory’s. Past projects that have been successfully completed include:

• Creating a small social area in our rented facilities on 15th Ave.
• Creating classrooms in our rented facilities on 15th Ave.
• Developing plans for converting our current church from an office building to a sanctuary
• Rebuilding the interior of the “annex” building adjacent to our current sanctuary for a small social and meeting area
• Developing a “long range” facility plan to guide decisions
• Converting the Indiana St. house into a facility suitable for holding Church School classes
• Developing a plan for converting the second floor into a large fellowship area
• Executing the demolition of the second story of the sanctuary preparing for the conversion
